FAQ and care

Is every necklace one of a kind?
Most are. Natural stones are never identical in color or shape, and each necklace is strung by hand. Pieces marked One of one are made once; when they sell, they are gone. A few designs are made in small runs, and the listing says how many are left.
What are the stones?
Natural gemstones such as amethyst, aquamarine, smoky quartz, apatite, fluorite and tiger’s eye. Each listing names its stones, their size and shape, and the intention the piece carries.
What metals do you use?
Statement pieces use solid 925 sterling silver clasps, rings and beads. Other pieces use silver- or gold-finished brass clasps with sterling silver or 14k gold-filled beads. Each listing says which.
How are the necklaces strung?
By hand, on 49-strand stainless steel wire with a nylon coating. It is strong, flexible and drapes well against the skin.
How long are the necklaces?
Most are 16 in. Each listing gives the exact length. If you need a different length, Simone can usually restring a piece or make one to order.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Every necklace arrives gift wrapped in a box with ribbon and a natural cotton muslin bag, with a card that carries its intention and care. Sterling silver pieces include a polishing cloth. Prints arrive wrapped and ready to give. Add a gift note at checkout and Simone will write it by hand. Prices are never included in the package.
Are the prints signed?
Yes. Prints are 10 x 10 in. certified archival giclée prints on white fine art paper, border included, hand signed by Simone and sent with a certificate of authenticity.
How do I buy an original painting?
Use the Inquire button on any painting. Simone will reply with availability, price, shipping and payment plan options.
Do you do custom necklaces or wholesale?
Yes to both. Use the contact form and choose the option that fits.
How long does shipping take?
Ready-to-ship pieces leave the studio in 2 to 4 business days. US shipping is complimentary over $75.
Caring for your necklace
- Store it on its own in the cotton muslin bag it came in.
- Put it on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray.
- Take it off to swim, shower or sleep.
- Clean it with a soft, damp cloth and dry it fully before storing or wearing.
- Use the included polishing cloth to bring up the shine on sterling silver clasps, rings and beads.
- Check that the clasp is fully closed each time you put it on.
- Skip chemical cleaners and ultrasonic machines, and keep amethyst and quartz out of long, direct sun.
Caring for prints and paintings
- Hang away from direct sun, radiators and damp walls.
- Frame prints behind UV-filtering glass if they will be in a bright room.
- Dust paintings gently with a soft, dry brush. Never use water or cleaners.
